The EIB is the European Union’s long-term financing institution. As the world’s largest multilateral lender, it focuses particularly on the value added it can bring to the projects it finances. The Bank’s Directorate responsible for lending operations across Europe is seeking key members (notably from the new Member States) for its small multinational teams who will promote and develop high value added lending.
Responsibilities:
Identify new financing opportunities in line with EIB's objectives
Work throughout the whole project life cycle of the Bank. Lead, assess, structure, negotiate and execute transactions
Manage and lead the project team
Perform the financial and risk analysis of counterparts and/or cash flows, prepare financial projections
Produce mandatory internal reports and recommendations for financing decisions in English or French
Manage day-to-day relationships with key clients/borrowers and follow up developments of the projects
Qualifications:
University degree and/or post-graduate degree in Finance/Economics or related;
Minimum of five years proven professional experience in the banking/financial sector, in corporate finance and/or structured finance
Strong financing, credit assessment, risk analysis and documentation skills
Experience and aptitude in direct contact with clients and negotiation of contracts
Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English and good command of French and Portuguese.
